Our Natural Materials

Sustainability is one of our main values. Hence, we use exclusively natural materials for our mattresses and divan bed bases. Materials we employ include cashmere, wool, horsehair, silk and others.

Vicuña lives in the mountains of Peru. It provides us with the most precious fiber in the world. Silky and fluffy, vicuña is the fiber of Gods.

Mongolian White cashmere is obtained from the undercoat of goats. It is a fine and warm fiber.

Our artisans receive horsehair in ropes. That is done to preserve the curl forever. The craftsmen solely untwist the cordons. Besides, before placing it in a mattress, they leave the horsehair under the sun for a week.

This Scottish wool has the longest fiber. Hence, it gives the mattress resilience and softness.

Falkland wool is a mix of breeds such as Corridale, Polwarth and Dohne Merino. These breeds were specifically developed to survive in the harsh climate of the South Atlantic.

Organic cotton is a fresh, natural, and breathable material. It is ideal for the summer.

Vegetable horsehair is extracted from the leaves of palm trees, mainly Chamaerops humilis. The palm leaves are collected, dried and curled. Then, similarly to horsehair, they are braided into tight ropes.

Yak hair is a fine, warm and particularly robust noble hair. Moreover, it is soft and fluffy, with a cashmere-like appearance.

Wool from old breeds can be longer, stronger and softer. Each fleece consists of numerous shades of grey, which makes the sorting of this material a labour-intensive task. In turn, Norwegian black sheep wool provides the most beautiful natural wool yarn.
