Coconut fiber comes from the coconut tree which is grown mainly in India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Brazil. Harvesting the fiber does not require felling the tree. Buying the fiber from these mostly developing countries sustains the local economies. The coconut fiber cells are sealed and filled with air, which provides good insulation and resistance against the mold even in damp conditions. Due to their structure, the coconut fiber pad are very breathable and provide the necessary ventilation. They also provide a good thermal insulation which helps maintain a healthy and constant body temperature.
