Where Beauty Meets Comfort: A Collaboration with Daniela Puppa

Great sleep begins with considered design. In our new collaboration with architect Daniela Puppa, we present three creations that unite aesthetic purity with everyday comfort: Brera, Top System, and Tangram. Each piece reflects Midsummer-Milano’s approach to luxury Italian beds: use natural, breathable materials, shape them with Italian craftsmanship, and finish every detail with quiet elegance.
Brera: modern ease, handcrafted depth
Brera is a slim, contemporary sleep system that feels light in the room and generous in comfort. The 15-cm mattress/topper is upholstered in white or black fabric and filled with a balanced mix of wool, yak hair, and cotton. At its core, pocket springs respond to the body with precise support and consistent airflow. A 17-cm boxspring adds resilience; springs are wrapped in wool felt to regulate temperature through the seasons. Leather legs complete the silhouette, while an optional Loro Piana Interiors headboard with natural leather straps gives Brera a tailored presence. The result is a breathable, durable, and unmistakably handcrafted mattress that suits both minimal and classic interiors.

Top System: form and function aligned
Top System distills our philosophy: honest materials, ergonomic structure, and refined proportions. Layers are calibrated to relieve pressure and stabilise posture, helping you wake with clarity rather than fatigue. The construction is quiet and precise—edges are clean, seams are neat, and every contact point is smooth to the touch. Designed with Daniela Puppa’s eye for balance, Top System offers the kind of sleep quality that only careful engineering and artisanal assembly can deliver.

Tangram: outdoor living, naturally
With Tangram, comfort moves outdoors. The modular base reconfigures easily—from daybed to lounge to conversation set—so terraces, gardens, and even decks on the water gain a flexible outdoor bed and seating system. Cushions are upholstered in Loro Piana Interiors fabrics and padded with fine Austrian horsehair. Horsehair breathes, dries quickly, and maintains its shape over time, making it an ideal natural fibre for open-air spaces. Hand-stitched leather handles and cuffs add durability and a discreet note of luxury.

A quieter definition of luxury
We believe true luxury in the bedroom is quiet. It is the calm micro-climate created by wool, cotton, and horsehair. It is the confidence that comes from Italian craft, reliable structure, and materials that age well. Brera, Top System, and Tangram invite you to build a home where sleep is crafted—not manufactured.
